First off my condolences to Nicole, Tyler and Devin. Reggie will be truly missed and I know that this was unexpected. I wrote this for late Uncle Reggie.
Dear Uncle Reggie,
You were my favorite uncle that I had. You always had an away to make smile and laugh. When you entered the room you could feel your positivity and had the kindest heart I knew. Every time I would see you, you would always have a grin on your face that was usually from ear to ear. Every time we talked you always gave me life advice and was always proud of what I was doing. I can’t thank you enough for what you did for Justin. When he was at his lowest point recovering from his surgery your advice got him through. Justin told you would just tell him this, “One month at a time” meaning to take it slow and that in time you will be back to normal. These past couple of years meant the world to me. We would have our “check ins” every so often to see how I was doing and what I was doing in life. When you called to congratulate me on getting my Bachelors degree I felt the highest I have ever been because I knew I made you proud.
Reggie I am going to miss that charming smile and that big loving heart that you had. I felt that this was your second awakening allowing you to continue to not only be a part of my but continue to be there for Tyler, Devin, and Nicole. I know you were damn proud of us Unc. I will miss and using your loving kind soul as motivation to make sure that no matter what I have going on in this short life we live to be positive and to always make people laugh and smile.
Your nephew,
Matthew
