Lyle Trimble

Obituary of Lyle Norris Trimble

Lyle was born in Hollywood California, where his dad worked in sales.

They moved to Arizona when he was 2 years old, to join the Trimble family members who were already there. Arizona was his home for the remainder of his life. Surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved Arizona and made life long connections with friends through the years. He belonged to many organizations and charities. He also loved to hunt and fish. Every vacation from school, his granddad would pick him up and take him to his cabin in Payson.

Lyle had great schooling in Arizona, graduating from ASU and playing football. He was a huge ASU football fan, having season tickets and enjoying every football game. He got his pilots license at a young age to be able to check on the family ranches instead of driving the long distances between. He loved to fly.

Lyle served in the Air Guard during the Vietnam War. He flew planes into areas to pickup men and drop off supplies. He was very proud to be of service to his country.

After farming he went into the construction business. He knew everyone and every inch of Arizona. He made some life long friends working for Rinker construction, Cemex and retiring from M.R Tanner. He didn’t really know how to retire. Work was enjoyment to him, no matter what he was doing.

In between work, Norris and Susie would steal some time away to go to the beach in California. They bought a 5th wheel RV and parked it at New Port Beach. The best of both worlds, home away from home.

Norris had a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He lived at home until a ten day stint in the hospital. At the end, Susie asked for Hospice of the valley to be with him. One day after he was moved into Friendship Village Hospice of the Valley, he felt at ease and was able to go home to his Heavenly Father. He knew it was the last stop on his journey. He could relax and let go of this earthly chaos. As sad as it is for his Wife and Family, he is in a far better place He lived a very full life.

Lyle was preceded in death by his father Lyle Eugene Trimble, his Mother Margaret Elizabeth Trimble, Sister Noreen and Daughter Diane.

He Leaves behind his Loving Wife Donalda Sue Trimble, 3 Children, Scott, Kim, and Beau, 3 Step-Children Thomas, Denise, and Kelly, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
