Obituary of William "Bill" Hurlbut

William “Bill” Hurlbut age 73 of Pinetop, AZ passed away May 2, 2023 with family by his side. Bill Hurlbut was preceded in death by his Father, Roy Hurlbut. Bill is survived by his loving wife Darrellyn Hurlbut, his daughters Carrie Jones (Jason), Jillian Hurlbut, Kelly Hurlbut. Step children Tina Moody (James), Andy Fleck (Tawna). His Grandchildren Matt Jones (Nicole), Nick Jones, Josh Jones, Liam Moody, Hayden Moody, Kylie Moody. His Great Granddaughter Maya Jones. His Mother Georgia Hurlbut. Siblings Kathy Sprinkles, Tim Hurlbut (Donna), Cheryl Jackson (Dwight), Julie Johnson (Merritt), Therese Paine (Charlie), Micheal Hurlbut (Ann Worthington). Many Family,Friends, and Loved ones.

 

Bill was born in Waterloo, Iowa to Roy and Georgia Hurlbut and raised in Orange County, CA. Bill, with his first wife Lynn, had three beautiful daughters each one who he was proud of and loved their bold differences and amazing personalities. Bill moved to Pinetop, AZ for a healthier climate and better life to raise his daughters in the White Mountains. There he purchased property that became Northwoods Resort.

 

Bill married Darrellyn, gaining two bonus children. Together for more than 45 years Bill and Darrellyn managed and maintained Northwoods Resort, this beautiful resort and formed many wonderful business relationships and friendships. Bill loved his wife and family, he enjoyed his outdoor adventures and cherished his surroundings. Bill’s charismatic personality, sense of adventure, generous heart and infectious laugh will be missed from the many lives that he impacted.
