Obituary of Dorothy Lenore Young

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Lenore Young (Denny), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who peacefully left this world on February 17, 2023 at the age of 96. Born on November 20, 1926 in Butte, Montana, Denny lived a long and full life. Denny had a passion for law and art which she pursued throughout her life with great enthusiasm. Denny was married in 1946 to Allison Junior Young and together raised four children. Denny was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and she cherished spending time with her family. Throughout her life, Denny was a pillar of her community. She was involved in feeding the homeless, volunteered as a sketch artist for the police department and her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her creativity, her infectious sparkling eyes and her unwavering love for her family and friends. Denny is survived by her two children, Roxey (CJ) and Mick (Christina); seven grandchildren, Jay (Tricia), Al, Jessica (Kyle), Hunter, Gillian, Graham, Gordie; and six great grandchildren, Nick, Stefanie, Theodore, Leanora, Violet and Delilah. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al, and her two oldest children Daniel and Rosemary.
