Bernadine N. Herbeck

 

Departed to be with our Lord on March 6th, 2022 at age 100.

 

Meta Piest Brandt and William Brandt welcomed Bernadine into the world on February 19th, 1922.   She graduated from Trinity Lutheran School and Bloomington High School and took her first job at Ally, Berney and Fleming and then worked for State Farm Insurance.

 

Lt. Ralph Herbeck made Bernadine his wife on May 14th 1944.  Together with their children, they moved from Bloomington Illinois to Inglewood, California in May of 1958. She began working for GMAC till her retirement in September 1978 when she and Ralph moved to live near his brother Willy and sister-in-law Dimp, in Mohave Valley, Arizona.  Ralph passed away October 5th 1984. 

 

 

Bernye, as she was known to her family and friends, moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona in 2005 and embraced an active life including regular attendance at the Risen Savior Lutheran Church where she was an active member of the quilters and volunteered in the church office. 

 

She is survived by her daughter, Stacee (husband Robert), son, Terry (wife Terry).  Grandchildren, Jenell (husband Kris), Gerilyn, Nicholas (Wife Brandy) and Jonathan. And Great Grandchildren, Austin, Kylee, Loghanne, Ty, Cal, Nicholas and Andrew.

 

Services will be private.

 

Psalm 73:26 “my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

 

Goodbyes are not for forever, goodbyes are not the end, it simply means we’ll miss you until we meet again.
