Obituary of Robert Gonzales

Robert ‘Bobby G’ Gonzales On April 6, 2019, after a long battle with kidney disease, our brother Robert ‘Bobby” Gonzales experienced the freedom he deserved. Born in San Francisco, Calif on 11/14/52, he was the beloved son of Moe and Esther Gonzales. He lived for many years in Santa Barbara and was the one time owner of the Coast Inn Snack Bar in Montecito, a local favorite in the 70’s and 80’s. A life-long golf enthusiast, he played on the PGA tour for several years. He was self-employed until his retirement. A lover of country music, we give him permission to play his favorite country tunes as loud as he’d like now. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Frank Gonzales. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Thomsen, her children Benjamin and Evelyn and his son Andrew Frame of Santa Barbara. He is also survived by his brother and best friend, Rick, brothers Nick Gonzales and John Aguilar-Reynolds, sisters Valerie Morcom and Alicia Breining, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Per Bobby’s wishes there will be no services, but memorial donations may be made in his name to the facility where he spent his last years: Horizon Post Acute & Rehab Center Attn: Lucy Rodriguez 4704 W.
