It is with great sadness that the family of Anna M. (Mayavski) VanEtten announces her passing after a 3+ year battle with brain cancer on May 22, 2019, at the age of 60 years old in Mesa, Arizona. Anna was born to Alfred and Catherine “Kitty” (Luckeroth) Mayavski in St. Cloud, MN on February 4, 1959. She was a graduate from Technical H.S. in 1977and spent much of her work life as a customer service rep in the insurance industry in Arizona and Texas. Her full of life bright smile will always be remembered by all. Many of you were blessed by her talents of singing and for the digital memory books she created for many of her friends and family which were her passions. She also was so proud to learn how to make Kucken bread, a recipe handed down from her Grandma Anna, that she shared with family and friends. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her father, Alfred, husband Kent of 21 years and her children, Sarah (Martin) Watts and Andy (Cheryl) Dahl; step-children Brandi (Miller) Alexander and Jamie (Miller) Johnson and former husband Daniel Dahl (m.1975). Anna will also be greatly missed by her sisters and brother, Sandy Kaiser, David Mayavski and Susan (Paul) Schrom and the joy of her life, granddaughter Gracie Ann Dahl. She also leaves behind, 1 niece, 5 nephews, 4 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews and 4 step-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her mother Kitty Mayavski (d.1996), several cousins, aunts and uncles and her 2 golden retrievers, Codie and Kona (d.2018). A celebration of life gathering will be held in St. Cloud July 12th. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to your local animal shelter.
