Obituary of James Marlowe Reineccius

James (Jim) Marlowe Reineccius, 72 of Phoenix, Arizona. Sunrise, Charleston, South Carolina, August 18th, 1946, Sunset, Phoenix, Arizona, June 21, 2019 in Chandler Hospital. Jim, son of Jeanette and Robert Reineccius, attended school at Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. He worked for several airlines throughout his career including West Coast Airlines, Airwest, Hughes, Republic and finally with Northwest Airlines. He started in Portland, Oregon in 1968, where he was later transferred to Los Angeles, California and from there to Las Vegas. He was then transferred to Phoenix, Arizona and then to Detroit where Northwest Airlines took over and he was transferred to Memphis in 1984. He also married Dorothy Herrera on December 4, 1984 in Forest Park, Georgia. He was later transferred to Phoenix, Arizona where he continued to work until his retirement in 2009 with over 40 years. His work with the airlines was a source of pride for Jim and stirred many conversations and stories of his experiences with friends and co-workers. Jim was known for his quick wit and sarcastic humor. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, and the several road trips he took to see them. Jim had a passion for golf which he shared with Dorothy, travelling throughout the country to some of the best golf courses around, visiting Texas, Florida, Tennessee and in Spokane where the phrase was coined ‘God enjoys golf’. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jeanette Reineccius, and his son Nicholas Barreto. Jim is survived by his wife Dorothy and his daughters, Janette, Stacy (Brett) and his son Robert. His grandkids, Nicky (Summer), Anthony Michael, Mason, Dylan, Taylor, Skyler, Bryce, Jade and Sage. He is also survived by his ‘Rhino’ siblings, Bob (Connie), Margaret, Tom, John, Joe, Mary (Jeff), Tim and Barbara. A celebration of life will be given in the near future.
