Obituary of Katherine Esther Christine Anderson Webley

Katherine Esther Christine Anderson Webley peacefully passed on April 10, 2019 and returned to the Lord. She was a Mesa native born January 29, 1983 to the happiest of parents Will and Katherine Anderson and her older brother Bill. Kara always carried a pure heart that would be tested many times throughout her short life. She was a 2001 graduate of Mountain View High School but before the start of her senior year was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was so very fortunate to be under the care of the exceptional staff at Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) and was able to overcome her cancer. Kara continued on to serve others with her involvement in PCH’s Camp Rainbow to help mentor and celebrate life with these other little angels among us. In 2005, Kara was again blessed to meet the love of her life, Tim Webley and become parents to Kaidon Blaine, Dane Anderson, and Ruby Katherine Louise. She relished her role of motherhood. In 2009, Breast Cancer would return and she would spend the following 10 years battling this disease with dignity and poise. There was never a day this ravaging disease would rob her of her smiles, contagious laughter, enjoyment of music, and loving her family. She fought and beat the odds many times staying here with her family as long as she could. We thank the inspiring and tireless work of so many health professionals at MD Anderson Cancer Center as they fought along her side. Kara had a true inner beauty and always looked forward to moments with her friends and family. One of her favorite quotes was from Anne Frank, “I don’t think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains”. There is not a better way to think of our dear Kara. Visitation will be held Monday April 15, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home 4403 E. Broadway Mesa AZ 85206 Funeral services will be held the following day, April 16th at 1:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church 1551 E Dana Ave Mesa, AZ 85204 A special heartfelt thank you to Hospice of the Valley for their dedicated service.
