Obituary of Laura Maria Campos De Milnes

Laura M. Milnes (Campos) of Mesa, AZ; 58. She was the beloved wife of Richard Milnes, passed away peacefully at Desert Banner. She was born in Mexico City, February 18, 1960. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended East Los Angeles College. She had been employed as a civilian by Glendale Police Department, Santa Clara Sheriff’s Department and the Burbank Police Department in California. After the earthquake in 1994, Laura decided to leave California and headed to Arizona where she met her future husband. Laura also, worked as a civilian for the Mesa Police Department(Falcon). Upon retiring, she settled into the role of a housewife. Laura’s two favorite destinations that she often visited were Maui and Sedona. A trip was planned for Maui. She had a great life. She is survived by her mother Ana Camps, brother Daniel, Saul, Ricardo of California and a sister Mona in Las Vegas. Lifetime best friends Theresa and Ester Ybarra of Alhambra and West Covina, CA. Mercy Crenshaw, San Dimas, CA. Laura is survived by many nieces, nephews extended family and good friends. Laura also known as Nana, leaves behind her step-daughter Melonie Milnes and two granddaughters Darian and Mia Keith, who now make Nana’s salsa, and a step-son, Ralph Milnes. Laura was preceded in death by her father, Ricardo Campos of Los Angeles. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Sophie Milnes of Dracut, MA. Three cats: Dallas, Magic and Kit Kat. Dogs: Oso, Gogetta, Sunny, DJ (deets) and Yoshi (motto). She is survived by her three dogs Swat, Ziva and Rose. And aunt Elenie Mines of Lowell, MA. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Check for a future date. She earned her Angel wings. Laura will be greatly missed by her family…
