Obituary of James Barrett Bash

James Barrett Bash, 91, passed away with his family by his side in Phoenix, Arizona on November 19, 2021. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5 pm – 8 pm at Legacy Funeral Home; 1374 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, Arizona 85225. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Mountain View Lutheran Church; 11002 S. 48th Street, Phoenix, Arizona at 11 am. Viewing will be held at the Church beginning at 10:30 am. He leaves behind his wife of 70 years, Marilyn, his children: Ron (Karen) Bash, Karen (Brad) Smeltzer and Carol (Ron) Weiss, grandchildren; Troy (Jamie), Courtney (Hal), Nick (Kate), Erica, Melissa (Bob), Amanda, Ashley (Brian) and Lauren, great grandchildren; Barrett, Brock, Joey, Calvin, Paige and Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents Miles and Ruth Bash and brother Miles. We will miss his kind heart and his love of family and friends. Jim was born in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania and moved to Temperance, Michigan where he lived until retirement. After that he moved to Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mountain View Lutheran Church or the Arizona Humane Society.
