Obituary of Judith Ann Anderson

Judith Ann Anderson

82, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at the Sante Rehabilitation Center.

Judith Ann Wysocki was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on May 27th, 1941. She was the third child of Adam and Susan Wysocki. She grew up in Minto ND on her parent’s sugar beet and wheat farm. Long hours in the fields and on the tractor were happy times in her young life. Judith graduated from Minto High School in 1959 then went on to the University of North Dakota for 2 years. Realizing her passion for music, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend the MacPhail College of Music. She graduated in May of 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and a minor in piano.

Judith married Craig Carmody Anderson on June 13th, 1964 in Minto, ND. They had 5 children: Shelly Marie, Mark Robert, Kristin Lynn, Ryan Patrick and Jeffrey Michael.

Judith had 3 great passions in her life:

1) Her children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew Judith, knew about her 5 kids and 12 grandchildren. She loved talking about them and many times rearranged her schedule to spend time with them. She made every effort to attend their sporting events, musicals, plays, and activities. She literally surrounded herself with their photos, cards and programs. Her favorite place to be, was always with her family.

2) Music and teaching. Judith taught piano lessons for over 57 years. Her students were incredibly important to her and their recitals always well attended. She took pride in watching them learn and thrive as pianists. She herself, also accompanied many groups in her lifetime including the Minneapolis Boys Club Choir, the Land of Lakes Boys Choir, and played for numerous weddings and church services.

3) The Minnesota Vikings. Boy did she love her Minnesota football team. She cleared her Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights to watch her Vikings. Proudly dressed in her purple and gold, she shared this love with her children, usually watching the games with her youngest son Jeff.

She is survived by her former spouse Craig Anderson of Sartell, Minnesota, her children Shelly Bodine (Jimmy Sears) of Tempe, Arizona, Mark (Keri) Anderson of Laguna Nigel, California, Kristin (Craig) Wolf of St. Joseph, Minnesota, Ryan (Nadia Hamdi) Anderson of Montclair, New Jersey and Jeffrey (Melanie) Anderson of Gilbert, Arizona. Grandchildren: Hunter, Emma and Courtney Bodine, Scarlett and Tristan Anderson, Sydney and Mason Wolf, Max and Layla Anderson, Emily Savard and Henry and Camden Anderson. Her first great grandchild is expected in October.

She was preceded in death by her parents Adam and Susan Wysocki, her brother and sister in law Earl and Betty Wysocki and her sister and brother in law Lorraine and Raymond Hibbard.

A celebration of her life will be held at the home of her youngest son on Friday, March 29th at 4:00pm.
