A Poem for My Father

The day you died, music seemed to forever change, and a sad undertone was added.
Some days it’s as loud as when you played for the masses. Some days it’s as soft as the days you practiced quietly for perfection.
But it is always there.
We are thankful for the days that we were blessed by the notes of your piano and the happiness that shined through you as you did.
We will listen to your song forever in our hearts, and until we meet again, we will listen to music with the thought of you behind each and every note and reminisce.
Written by Louisa Flores (Chita)
