Obituary of Carmen Leonie Hutchinson

Carmen Leonie Hutchinson passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023, in her assisted living apartment at Grand Court Mesa. Carmen was born in Cayman Brac, British West Indies on March 6, 1932, to Darrell and Violet Bryan.

Carmen emigrated to the United States and married Gladstone Hutchinson on January 12, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY. Carmen was a homemaker, beloved nanny for numerous families and worked as a check Proofreader at Deluxe Check Printers for a few years.

Carmen survived her two sons Russell and Bradley; daughter Alice Danell; three grandsons and one granddaughter, two great granddaughters and two great grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gladstone. Carmen and Gladstone lived in New Jersey, various parts of California, Florida, Jamaica, Belize, and Arizona.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 3 at 11:00 AM at Legacy Funeral Home 1130 S. Horne Mesa.AZ 85204. The burial will be the same day, 1:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
