Mary Ovalle Garcia

Obituary of Mary Lou Ovalle Garcia

Forget me not (optional if space allows)

I give you this one thought to keep – I am with you still, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight- I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not think of me as gone, I am with you still in each new dawn.

This world has lost a beautiful Soul, Mother, and Nana to the ranks of Guardian Angels.  Mary Lou Garcia (Quintana), 82, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Dec.15, 2022 surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home.  Mary came from a large family and was 1 of 13 children who were born to Jose and Nicolasa Quintana, in Morenci AZ, 1940.  Over the course of the last 82 marvelous years, Mary had 10 children of her own (9 boys, 1 girl), 30 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

As a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Fanatic, She “IS STILL” the Undisputed Champion of Mommas. Mary’s antics were legendary and those who knew her have their own story to tell from the time they spent in the ring with her.  Mary was compassionate, quirky, funny, and stern all in the same breath.  Mary was a hardened woman forged by the toughest trials and tribulations of life, yet she never broke… she never quit… she continued to preserver by working hard to protect and provide for her family.  She was a great listener, a shoulder to cry on and always had great advise and wisdom to share from her life experiences, even if it wasn’t the most well received.  Mary had the heart of a giant, and anyone who knew her would never go hungry, be out in the cold or without; she had a heart full of 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances regardless of who they were.  Mary was loved and respected by everyone she encountered during her time here on earth.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, multiple siblings and 4 of her own sons; Lionel, Charlie, Robert and Tony. She is survived by her loving Husband Manny, remaining children; Richard (Horky), Paul, Chris, Jaime, Tina (Crystal) and Eric (favorite) and grandchildren.  Although she no longer walks beside us on this earth, she lives within our hearts, minds and souls as the Family’s Guardian Angel.  Our mother will be deeply missed.
