The family of Dean B. James of Scottsdale is saddened to announce his passing on Friday, 12/2/2022 at the age of 73 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 20 years, Elizabeth, his brothers Bill and John, sister Karen, and stepchildren: Francis, Stanley, Libby and Curt.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 10 years, Thelma. He is also survived by stepchildren Kenneth, Keith, Susanne and Ann.
Dean, native and a life-long Valley resident, was born in Phoenix in 1949 and raised by parents Bill and Georgia James. He went to Creighton Elementary and graduated from East High in 1966.
During High School, Dean was introduced to Ham Radios by our neighbor who lived across the street. He was hooked and became a lifelong enthusiast. Over the years, he talked with people all over the world, including Arizona’s own Barry Goldwater. His call letters were WA7KSF.
For most of his life, Dean worked in the electronics industry, in which he was self-taught. He was a TV Repairman and was cable installation technician for hotels and other businesses throughout the valley
Burial Services will be held Friday 12/9 at 10:00 AM at Mesa City Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ 85201
