I’ve known Ernie for over 40 years. We were “Compas”
Whenever we met, we greeted each other with a bear hug, saying “Orale, Compa, Que tal!” Over the years, we partied together, we smoked purros together, we started several business together(none of them were successful!). I represented Ernie regarding legal issues he encountered and throughout all these encounters, I never witnessed Ernie in a bad mood. He always brought a scintillating smile, a jovial spirit and a positive attitude that brightened my day, teaching me to forgo any negative moods I was feeling at the time. I looked forward to our visits and now I realize that we had too few.
I can state without equivocation, that. the world was a better place because of Ernie Santa Cruz. We can honor Ernie’s memory by emulating him and sharing that same loving, jovial and positive attitude with our friends, family and everyone we meet!
Que Dios le biendiga, Ernie! Upon your arrival, Heaven will be a happier place!
