Obituary of Mary Sanchez

Mary Sanchez, age 86, passed in peace surrounded by her family on September 20, 2022.

She is survived by her daughters: Bernice Galaz (B), Suzanna Sanchez (Cha-Cha), Charlotte Sanchez.

10 grandchildren: Chris Barrey, Eric Vargas, Vanessa Sanchez, David Sanchez, Victor Vargas, Adam Vargas, Bianca Vargas, Damian Vargas, Grace Diaz, Priscilla Diaz; 16 great grandchildren: Natalie, Daniel, David Jr, Juliette, Kaylee, Damian Jr, Ibjalyz, Aziel, Julius, Angelica, Pillie, Jun, Noah, Solomon, Luisa and Angelo. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernardo (Bernie) Galaz, Emma Galaz, her daughter Angelica Vargas, her granddaughter Juliette Sanchez and her husband Luis A. Sanchez.

Mary lived a colorful life from being a trailer blazer as one of Arizona’s finest women wrestlers (WWF) in the 1950’s, a wife, mother, hostess, waitress, jazzercise instructor, and beloved Nana.

Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 2-5pm, with a Rosary beginning at 3pm at the Legacy Funeral Home, Chandler Chapel 1374 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler AZ 85225
