Ronald Lance

Obituary of Ronald Francis Lance

Ronald Francis Lance, age 74, passed away Saturday, July 23rd after being admitted to the hospital near Chandler, AZ.

He was born December 6th, 1947, served in the Vietnam War and lived in the heart of Arizona for most of his adult life. He studied at Maryvale High School and Arizona State University. His life’s work was to ensure his family and loved ones could pursue happiness and success in a quickly changing world. He thrived professionally in the financial world of automotive sales while making time for every single child raised in his household. He was an avid collector of elephant keepsakes and a spirited Green Bay Packers Fan. Ron was a man of many words, but nothing more charming than his sayings, such as, “You are probably wondering why I gathered you all here today?” or “Life is just a bowl of kumquats.”.  He’ll be remembered for his witty optimism and his friendly embrace.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lucy, his daughters, Dawn, Amy, Jennifer, Michelle, Billy and Tammy, his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by his sister Lisa Grasso, his uncle Richard Smith, and his mom Betty Monical.

His family would like to express gratitude to the many doctors, nurses and medical staff who cared for him over the years. Most of all, he would want Lucy to know – he’s thankful for your devoted time by his side and he loves you to infinity. He can’t wait to see you again.
