Obituary of Johnny Little

Johnny Little - October 10, 1951 - May 20, 2022

 

JOHNNY LITTLE passed away on May 20, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona.  Johnny was born in Washington D.C to Warner and Elizabeth Little.  He grew up in Farmville, North Carolina and attended North Carolina State University.  Johnny attended flight school at Ft. Wolters in 1972 and in 1984 he obtained a Bachelor of Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University.  He led a 21 year military career including Cobra and Apache pilot training where he received several accomodations and medals and retired as a CW4.  In 1993 Johnny obtained his Masters of Science Management at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) followed by a career at McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) where he worked in Training Systems and Operations Analysis before retiring in 2013.  During this time, Johnny was a contributing writer to Aviation Week and Space Technology.

 

Johnny is preceded in death by his Father, Warner Little.  He is survived by the love of his life, Cheryl Lynn, whom he spent many wonderful years by his side traveling and enjoying life before settling in Mesa, Arizona.  Also surviving are his Mother, Elizabeth Little, Mark Little (brother) and Patricia (Sister) all of North Carolina; Step daughters Sharon Little (Martin); Kathy Boice (Eric) and four grandchildren.
