Obituary of Carlos Ortega Hillan

Carlos Ortega Hillan age 79, passed away on February 13^th, 2022, at Desert Banner Hospital with his family by his bedside in Mesa, AZ.

Carlos was born on July 18^th, 1942, in Sonora Arizona at home to Basilio and Flora Hillan. Basilio worked in the mines and Flora was a homemaker.

Carlos was a kind, humble and loving man. His interests were riding his bike, watching Judge Judy chilling, hanging out with his family, gardening, going to the Chinese buffet with his grand kids, helping neighbors mow their lawns, going to the river with family. He loved nature. He worked very hard to provide for his family.  He was always willing to help anyone. You called him and he was there! He had a huge heart for everyone.

He is survived by his son Carlos Hillan Jr, daughter Erica Hillan, brother Frank Hillan, Sisters Elodia, Rosie, Olivia, Joanna, grandchildren, and great grandchild.

A golden heart stopped beating. A loved one put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best. It’s going to be lonesome here without you. We will miss you more each day. Life doesn’t seem the same since you’ve gone away. When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong, we seem to hear you whisper, “Cheer up and carry on” Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say “Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping we’ll meet again someday”

You will be missed more than words can explain! Our lives will not be the same without you dad!
