Obituary of Robyn Gayle Manka

Robyn Gayle (Howard, Schmidt, Cox, Manka, Meloy) passed away in Gilbert, Arizona, on January 20th, 2022. She was born on December 6th, 1939, at Douglas, Arizona, to Eli and Mae Ream Howard. She remained an only child until the birth of her half-sister, Glenda Howard, in 1950. Robyn is survived by her husband, Bill, of Payson, Arizona, her sister, Glenda Howard Sours, of Forrest, New Mexico, her children Mike Cox, Ed Cox, and Gina Denney, her grandchildren Gene Junior, Sabrina, Stephen, Jenni, Sean, and Ryan, and by numerous grandchildren, stepchildren and step grandchildren. Robyn attended Arizona State University where she obtained a Masters’ Degree in Elementary Education. She devoted many years teaching Kindergarten for the Maricopa County School District. Robyn was a devoted gardener and spent her retirement years growing beautiful flowers and plants in her garden. She was a gifted seamstress and created treasured needlework keepsakes for loved ones. From the time she was a child, Robyn cherished the friendships she made. She loved and was loved by many all the days of her life.
