Obituary of Carl LeRoy Hansen

Carl LeRoy Hansen, 87, peacefully passed away holding his wife’s hand on October 30, 2021. He married Shirley, the light of his life in January of 1956. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be remembered as the kind and caring person who loved to reminisce and enjoyed everyone’s stories. He loved to laugh and be with family. He loved his home and his neighbors and has missed them tremendously since moving to Phoenix in May of 2020. The family would like to give our deepest gratitude to Dallas Schulz, a very important and beloved friend that cared for both Carl and Shirley before their move to Phoenix. This man touched many hearts, was respected by all who met him and gave of himself so deeply. He is survived by his wife Shirley, two daughters, Kathy Anderson, and Diana Fahringer, three granddaughter Marnie Fahringer, Jillian Fahringer, Kristina Fahringer, and sister Elenore Merritt. He was preceded in death by his Father, Carl Hansen, Mother, Marie Hansen, Brother, Kenneth Hansen and Brother-in-Law and Best Friend, Royce Kollbaum. The Military Honors Ceremony will be held on Tuesday November 9th at 9:00 am at the National Memorial Cemetery located at 2965 Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix AZ 85024
