Obituary of Diane Ramirez

Diane L. Ramirez was born on February 7, 1965 on a blizzardy afternoon, in Longmont, Colorado. She lived in Colorado until the age of 6. Then her parents moved to Mesa, Az. Diane attended MPS and graduated from Mesa High. While in school she played the Saxophone in the Marching Band and Honor Bands at Mesa Junior and Mesa High. She continued her education at MCC and received her associates Degree. She is survived by her 3 sons, Unnamed Son, Daniel Lopez Ramirez and Nicholas Ramirez. She was preceded in death by a baby boy named Julian, her maternal and Fraternal grandparents, Uncle Louis Yazzie, Aunt Rose Merchant and Cousins Samantha Brown and Christina Magallanez. He working Career began at El Charito as a dishwasher, then became a Phlebotomist. She went on to work at Siemens Electronics as an expeditor and was in the Engineering Department. Her next Career she worked for the State of Arizona DES Department. She loved to Dance, Sing, Party and attend Concerts, where she met many famous musicians such as “Flaco w/Freddy Fender”,” Little Joe” and “George Clinton” just to name a few. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit: Maine, Louisiana, Tennessee, New Mexico, California and Colorado, and was able to visit Graceland. Diane received many awards during her career. She was a driven worker, compassionate to patients and had a heart for helping the less fortunate. Diane became ill in 2008 and was unable to return to work. She had many close encounters with near death illnesses. But her strong will to live for her family and friends got her through. In the last year of her life she lost her eyesight, had multiple strokes, heart problems and ultimately Renal Failure. Her last Hospital Stay lasted 5 weeks. During her hospital stay she was visited by her close cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Sister from Colorado as well as immediate family members. They were able to reminisce about her childhood memories. They sang songs together from attending her grandmother Ramirez’s Church and her upbringing as a Missionette. In the last two weeks of her life, she was able to spend at Home with her Mother, Sister, Sons, Father, Nieces and Great Nephews. She was especially thankful to be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving Meal surrounded by her loved ones. On November 27, 2018 she lost her battle with her illnesses and gained her Angel wings. Diane will be greatly Missed by her Family!!!!

Service Date: December 8, 2018 Viewing and Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. at Legacy Funeral Home – Rose Chapel, 1130 S. Horne, Mesa, Arizona 85204. Diane will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, Arizona 85204
