Obituary of Sylvester John Thompson

Sylvester J. Thompson (Vet) went to be with His Lord September 9, 2021. Vet was born January 15, 1939 at home in Tuscarora Township near Corning, New York and was the oldest of four children born to George and Roselyn Thompson. His favorite childhood memory was accepting Jesus as his Savior at age 6 in Sunday School. Following high school he attended Practical Bible Training School for one year and then chose to study construction technology at Alfred Tech and received his degree of Associate in Applied Science. His survived by his wife of 51 years, Jerry, his daughter Mary Beth Batman, son-in-law William Batman, his son John, daughter-in-law Kristen and daughter-in-law Carri, his sister Jean Owen and brother Benjamin. He also is survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his son Michael and his brother Robert who both passed away in 2018.
