Obituary of Grace Piper

Grace Piper, 85, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2021, with family by her side in Chandler, Arizona. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 1-3 at Legacy Funeral Home in Chandler. Grace was born on March 9, 1936, in Ohio, Illinois and was the last remaining child born to Glenn and Hazel Conner. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers, four nephews, one niece, and one grandson. Grace graduated from Ohio High School in 1954. She is survived by her six children; Mitch Piper, Julie Lockhart, Mike (Julie) Piper, Jill (Gene) Chamblin, Janelle (Chris) Blaylock, and Joel Piper; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Grace devoted much of her time and energy to her children and grandchildren. With encouragement and support from her sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Don Brandenburg, she relocated to Arizona in 1987 where she worked at Walmart for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a passionate fan of both Phoenix Suns basketball and Chicago Bears football.
