Ignacio De La Vega Beltran, 88, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022 in Gilbert, AZ. Ignacio, known to many affectionately as “Nacho”, was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa on February 14, 1933, to Ignacio De la Vega Sr. and Maria Beltran. Ignacio leaves behind six children with his first wife, Manuela Vargas: Gabriel De la Vega, Elvia (Carmelo) De la Vega, Samuel (Irma) De la Vega, Antonio (Adriana) De la Vega, Isela (Jose Luis) Zuniga, and Jorge (Ana) De la Vega. He has 15 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. His second wife, Petra, of 24 years preceded him in death in 1997. Ignacio lived in Los Angeles, California for over 50 years before moving to Mesa, AZ in 2021 to be closer to his family. Tata Nacho was a no-fuss, simple, kind man who always had his cowboy hat either on him or nearby. He looked forward to family visits and would make us laugh whenever he could. He loved his family near and far and will be dearly missed by many. There will be a private viewing on Friday, Feb. 4th at 1:00pm at the Rose Chapel for immediate family members to honor his life. En pas descanse nuestro padre y Tata.
