Memorial Service for Lillie Mae Dingle will be Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10a-12p at Legacy Funeral Home 4403 E Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ 85206

Lillie Mae Dingle was born to Jessie and Berdell Smith on August 01, 1940 in Kosciusko Mississippi.

Her parents preceded her in death. Lillie was the 2nd child of 9 of this union. As a youth she attended 111th Street Elementary in Watts California, and Jordan High School also in Los Angeles California she graduated in (1958) where she excelled in all academic areas.

She was baptized at an early age at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles California, under the leadership of Rev.Milton Marshall Sr.

While in High School she met and fell in love and married Donald Edward Dingle on January 19, 1958 from their marriage two children were born Kevin Maurice Dingle (Nancy) and Stacey Hillevi Dingle (Alton) After high school Lillie took on the role of military spouse she most loved the her time in Anchorage Alaska, where her children were born, after many years of military life Lillie and her children moved to Detroit Michigan in 1970 where she resided for 36 years, Lilllie worked for Pitney Bowes for 27 years and retired in 1998, she later moved to Mesa Arizona in 2006 where lived until her untimely passing. Lille enjoyed her family, she loved large family gatherings where should could interact with all of her nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters.

Lillie loved to cook and entertain family and friends this is what she loved to do in her spare time, one of her favorite traditions was Gumbo, she always loved hosting Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners, her passions were cooking , fashion and reading she loved to dress up and look pretty. Lillie was devoted to her Church, Metropolitan Church of God in Detroit, she had many friends and often spent most of her free time with her church members.

Lillie loved taking care of others she took care of many family members and friends this is what she most loved doing always making sure others were taken care of.

Lillie leaves to cherish her memories two children Kevin Dingle (Nancy) of Gurnee Illinois, Stacey Thornton (Alton) Gilbert Arizona Grandaughter, Maria Christina Dingle of Oakpark, Michigan. Former Spouse Donald Edward Dingle,   Sisters Dorothy Mcneil (Houston TX) and Sharon Milner ( Los Angeles California, brothers Joe Smith, Los Angeles California and Bruce Smith (Delores) (San Luis Obispo, California a host of nieces , nephews and friends , very close friends Patricia Strickland & Maxine Phillips.
