Joan Marilyn Ervey passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2017. Beloved wife, sister, and aunt moved from Wisconsin to Arizona to get away from the cold. Upon arriving to Arizona she worked for the admissions department for ASU until she retired in 1993.
When first moving to Arizona, Joan lived in apartments in Tempe where she met her future husband LeRoy Ervey. In 1991 the moved to their own home in Chandler where they have lived for the last 25 years.
Joann was into all kinds of art and the history of the royal houses. She herself even dabbled in painting and making her own greeting cards. Every year both her and Lee would go to the Renaissance Faire so Joan could relive medieval times.
She is survived by her doting husband of 28 years, LeRoy Ervey. Her 2 beloved brothers and sister, John, Jerry, Joyce. Her family spanned both Wisconsin and Arizona with 8 nieces and nephews and she even had some great nieces and great nephews. She will be loved and deeply missed by all.
Memorial services for this incredible woman will be October 27 from 6-9 pm at the Legacy Funeral Home, 1374 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler.
