Edward Charles Thomas aka “Frog”, was called home to glory on July 15, 2017 in Mesa, AZ. He was born September 12, 1952 to

L. C. & Lila Thomas in Jackson, TN. The family relocated to Winslow, AZ in 1955.

“Frog” attended school in the Winslow public schools, he played little league baseball, basketball, was All Conference Basketball player, football, High School All State Defensive End. He graduated from Winslow High School in 1971. He attended AZ Western in Yuma, AZ, where he was a member of the football team which won National Championship for NCAA Jr. College in 1972.

After leaving college, “Frog” was employed by the Santa Fe RR for a time and later moved on to pursue his career as an electrician in the Phoenix area where he was employed by Western Electric.

Edward Charles Thomas leaves to cherish his memory three children: Adrian Thomas, Kiesha Thomas (Mike) Delgado, Roferio Simpson. Grandchildren: Taber Thomas, Dominic Delgado, Damian Delgado, Devin Delgado and Reyna Acosta. Siblings: sisters ~ Lila Mayberry, Angie (Jim Millet) Thomas, Nancy Carmouche, Martha Thomas, Arniece (Tony) Brown . Brothers: Charles Thomas, Zack Thomas, David Thomas, Chris Thomas. Aunts: Mary Hayes, Winslow, AZ; Katherine Smith, Jackson, MS. Uncles: Buddy Norwood, Sunflower, MS; Thomas (Dorothy) Echoles, Winslow, AZ. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion ~ “Coco” Acosta; his parents ~ L. C. and Lila Thomas; sister ~ Betty Morgan; brothers ~ John Lee, Cecil Garcia; niece ~ Nika Carmouche; nephew ~ Marques Brown and a host of relatives, and friends.
