Barbara Nicley passed away peacefully and quietly Sunday October 1, 2017 at her home in Gilbert Arizona. Barbara lived a full and adventurous life. She was raised in a loving home by Ervin (Joe) and Enid Nicley in Greenwood, Indiana. She is the youngest of 5 sisters: Ruby, Dorothy, Betty, and Donna. She found the love of her life early, William (Bill) F. Clowers and was married at 18. They moved to Charleston Air Force Base in 1982 and had a wonderful son, William (Will) F. Clowers Jr. born early in 1984. Barbara chose a career in real estate and managed numerous high end properties. Her journeys took her all over the United States and adventures she loved to share with everyone. Barbara was an active member of Post 39 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Gilbert Arizona and loved helping all veterans. Although Bill and Barbara’s paths separated for a few years, they never lost their love for each other. They reunited in 2015 and moved to Arizona to be close to their son, their Daughter-in-law Jess, and their wonderful grandson Jayden. Barbara was always a devoted mother, wife, daughter, and grandmother and fiercely protective of her family. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Joe and survived by her husband Bill, her son Will, her Daughter-in-law Jessica, her Grandson Jayden, the Matriarch of the family, Enid Nicley, and her sisters Ruby Reel, Dorothy Huff, Betty Johnson, and Donna Wheeler. She also has two dogs, Phoebe and Joey, who are her pride and joy. There will be a private ceremony for the family in Gilbert Arizona. Her ashes will be interned in Indiana in the family cemetery. Any donations may be made in her name to Post 39 of the American Legion in Gilbert Arizona or the ASPCA.
